SYDNEY PISTOL CLUB LTD

The Club was established in 1953 it is the senior Club in NSW and the third oldest Pistol Club in Australia. During its 50 year existence it has been host to many State and National Championships and selection Competitions for Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and World Cups.

Present and past members were Australian representatives and medallists at World Cups, Commonwealth and Olympic Games.

It is a key training venue for National Junior Programmes and Senior State Squad training. Coaching is available by NCAS accredited coaches, several of whom are and have been associated with Paralympic, Olympic and Commonwealth Champions.

Whether you wish to participate on a. social level or have desires to improve your target shooting skills to attain Zone, State or National representation, Sydney Pistol Club is the ideal facility for you to enjoy the challenge of true marksmanship and participate as a valued member of this excellent facility.

Pistol Shooting is a sport for any age from 12 to senior citizen. The ‘oldies’ might need glasses but providing they can load and unload with safety anyone can be taught to shoot accurately.

Pistol Shooting is an enjoyable sport, which is driven by safety and regulated closely but this does not preclude its enjoyment and accessibility for all.

Sydney Pistol Club has 30 firing positions for static or turning targets, 30 static target positions at 50m or 25m and an indoor Air Pistol range, which has 20 firing points.

Pistol Shooting is a family sport; Sydney Pistol Club offers discounts to families. If both parents join, any dependent children are free of all Club Fees until they are 18. Discounted membership is available to full time students.

Full members may practice on the Sydney ranges any day at no further cost; there is one annual fee due each October. Members will be expected to participate at a minimum of one visit per month, during the year, at morning or afternoon Sunday ‘matches of the day’. This ensures up tp date, supervised Target Pistol shooting. There is always plenty of range space so members may enjoy uninterrupted practice to improve their shooting skills.

You may visit the range most Sundays; the ideal time is between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm. We are situated at Cape Banks, La Perouse. Turn left off Bunnerong Road, at the Botany Bay National Park. Keep left and drive between the golf ranges of St Michaels and NSW Golf Club. Follow the bitumen road and after 1K at the end of the road you will discover the shooting complex. Ask for the Duty Officer, he or she will be happy to provide information about this challenging and dynamic sport.
